What is a
menstrual cup?
The menstrual cup is an elastic cup that is inserted into the vagina to collect menstrual
blood. It is reusable and made of 100% medical grade silicone. It is specially designed and
flexible so that its shape can be changed easily. Thus, easy installation is achieved.

Instructions
1. Before first use:
- Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.
- Sterilize the menstrual cup/disc by boiling it in water for 5 minutes. Allow it
to cool and dry before use.
2. Insertion:
- Find a comfortable position, such as squatting or sitting on the toilet.
- Fold the menstrual cup/disc using the preferred fold (e.g., C-fold, punch-
down fold). - Gently separate the labia with your free hand.
- Insert the folded menstrual cup/disc into the vagina, aiming towards the
lower back. It should sit low, similar to the position of a tampon.
3. Proper placement:
- Ensure that the menstrual cup/disc fully unfolds and creates a seal against
the vaginal walls. - Rotate the cup/disc slightly if necessary to ensure a proper fit.
4. Wearing duration:

5. Removal:
- Relax and find a comfortable position.
- Insert your index finger and thumb into the vagina until you can reach the base of the cup/disc.
- Pinch the base to release the seal and gently pull it out.
- Empty the contents into the toilet or sink and rinse the cup/disc with clean water.
6. Cleaning and maintenance:
- Wash the menstrual cup/disc with mild soap and warm water after each
use. - For a more thorough clean, you can use a specialized menstrual cup/disc
cleanser. - Rinse it carefully and allow it to air dry before storing.
- Do not use harsh chemicals, scented products, or bleach on the cup/disc.
7. Storage:
- Store the menstrual cup/disc in a breathable cotton pouch or a dedicated
container when not in use. - Keep it away from direct sunlight and extreme heat.
